What is ATON
Aton is an ancient Egyptian god meaning a solar disc and was also regarded as the sun god Ra.
The picture above is a relief of pharaoh Akhenaton(an ancient Egyptian pharaoh in mid 14th century BC)with his wife Queen Nefertiti and their three daughters receiving rays from the sun god Aton.
The hymn of Aton,inscribed in the tomb of Akhenaton,sets out with the sun rising above the horizon.Then men who slept like the dead,a few minite ago,wake up lifting their arms high up in the sky in praise of god.Birds start flying,Fishes begin leaping and plants bloom with flowers,psalm goes on and so forth,describing the beginning of a new day.
Aton gave women a child in the womb and energy to men.It is said that Aton created all the life in the world.Mankind was spread into each races with individual lifestyle and different color of skin.They ware given things according to their needs.
From time to time and where he is seen,Aton changes his form into millions of ways.Yet he himself is an unchanging existence.
